Gravity Stools

Jólan Van der Wiel's Gravity Stools are made by extruding a magnetic material with an electromagnet. The creation process is documented here. The opposition of gravity and the electromagnetic force creates rugged structures reminiscent of some 3d fractals (see for instance this image). Another beautiful example of "analog generative art".
